Welcome to the Wendell Rotary Club (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all users of our website, all Rotary members using club-managed digital resources, and all participants in Rotary-sponsored events—including attendees, guests, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers—such as our Annual Oyster Roast and any future programs.

By accessing our website, participating in a Rotary event, sponsoring an event, or engaging with any Rotary service activity, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our website and services.


2. Eligibility

The site and Rotary events are open to:

  • Adults age 18 or older, and

  • Minors participating under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By attending an event, purchasing tickets, sending information through our site, or engaging as a sponsor/vendor, you confirm you meet eligibility requirements.


3. Rotary Services, Events & Offerings

Our offerings may include:

  • Community events such as the Annual Oyster Roast

  • Fundraising activities supporting literacy and local service projects

  • Online forms, ticketing systems, and email newsletters

  • Vendor and sponsor opportunities

  • Rotary member resources and club information

Event details, pricing, venue information, and schedules may be updated or adjusted as needed.


4. Pricing and Payment

For ticketing, sponsorships, or merchandise:

  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars.

  • Pricing may change without notice.

  • Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, Square, or PayPal.

  • Taxes or processing fees may apply.

  • By submitting payment, you confirm you are authorized to use that payment method.


5. Ticket Orders, Sponsorships & Vendor Registration

Once you place an order or submit a registration, you may receive an email confirmation. However, acceptance is not final until payment is verified and Rotary approval is complete.

We may deny or cancel an order due to:

  • Capacity limits

  • Incomplete registration

  • Technical or pricing errors

  • Fraud concerns

  • Safety or operational considerations

If we cancel an order after payment, a full refund will be issued.


6. Refunds, Transfers & Event Changes

Event Tickets (including the Oyster Roast)

  • All ticket sales are final, except as required by law.

  • If the event is postponed, tickets automatically transfer to the new date.

  • If the event is canceled entirely, ticket holders will receive refund options.

Sponsorships

  • Sponsorship fees are generally non-refundable, as they directly support service projects.

  • If the event is canceled, sponsors will be contacted with options.

  • Sponsorships may not be transferred without Rotary approval.

Vendors

  • Vendor fees are typically non-refundable unless Rotary declines the application.

  • Vendor space may not be transferred or resold without written approval.

Merchandise

  • Merchandise purchased online or at events may have separate return policies.


7. Conduct, Safety & Community Expectations

By using our site or attending any Rotary-sponsored event, you agree to:

  • Treat all participants, Rotary members, volunteers, and staff with respect

  • Follow venue rules and safety guidelines

  • Maintain Rotary’s commitment to a family-friendly, inclusive environment

  • Refrain from disruptive, unsafe, or illegal behavior

We may remove or refuse service to anyone violating these expectations without refund.


8. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on the website—including text, images, graphics, logos, Rotary marks, and event branding—is owned by the Wendell Rotary Club and/or Rotary International.

Users may not:

  • Copy or distribute website materials

  • Reproduce Rotary-branded content

  • Use club materials for commercial purposes

unless written permission is granted.


9. Photography, Video & Media Use

By attending any Rotary event—including the Oyster Roast—you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Rotary may take photos, video, and audio recordings

  • Your likeness may appear in promotional materials, social posts, event recaps, or media coverage

  • Rotary may use such materials without compensation

If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify a volunteer at check-in. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, though full exclusion cannot be guaranteed.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rotary is not responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property

  • Injuries resulting from participant negligence

  • Weather conditions (the Oyster Roast is an all-weather event)

  • Vendor or third-party performance

  • Special guest or volunteer cancellations

  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the related ticket or service.


11. Disclaimer of Warranties

All Rotary offerings—including events, website content, and ticketing—are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted website access

  • Ideal event conditions

  • That schedules, menus, or vendors will remain unchanged

  • That weather conditions will be favorable


12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Wendell Rotary Club, its members, officers, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims or liabilities arising out of:

  • Your attendance or participation

  • Your use of the website

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your interactions with event attendees, vendors, or third parties


13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
Any disputes must be resolved exclusively in NC state or federal courts unless prohibited by law.
